ELKS  CAMP BARRETT
What is it?
Elks Camp Barrett  is a multi-season camp facility nestled in an isolated  forest of tall tree,  deep ravines and a meandering stream surprisingly located just a few minutes from the Annapolis Mall.  Back in the early 50s, with a generous donation of  about 140 acres of unspoiled woods,   our Elks Lodge joined  38 regional Elks Lodges in Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia to  built this camp. Today, we all help to maintain this unique camping facility for  children to enjoy.

At Camp Barrett, there are baseball, football, other athletic fields, an Olympic size swimming pool, volleyball courts, an archery range, a shooting range, horseshoe pits, swings, slides, etc. Surrounding the camp are twisting hiking trails to explore through the thick woods. In addition to the main dining hall with its full kitchen, there are activity pavilions and group gathering bonfire locations scattered throughout. For housing, there are a series of bunkhouses that are jointly maintained by the Elks Lodges of Maryland., Delaware and the District of Columbia.

In addition to offering camping opportunities for regional children,  Camp Barrett is enjoyed during multiple seasons of the year by local, beneficial organizations including the Elks, the Boy Scouts, wounded veterans  and  the Johns Hopkins  Pediatric Oncology's Camp Sunrise.
